Elaborate preparations are already being made for the new session of the American Jewish Congress which will be held here October 14.
The decision of the Congress Administrative Committee to hold a session in Boston is being received with much enthusias here.
The large mass meeting at which Mr. Israel Zangwill will speak will be held at Symphony Hall, Huntington Avenue, on the evening of October 14., and the regular sessions of the Congress, which will begin on the afternoon of Sunday, the 14th, and continue through Monday and Tuesday, the 15th and 16th, will be held in Kingsley Hall. The Auditorium and other halls and committee rooms to be used are part of the same educational foundation building where the large Zionist convention was held in 1915.
The decision was taken in response to the invitation received from the Congress Committee and other Jewish organizations of Boston, and after Mr. Nathan Straus received a letter from Governor Channing H. Cox of Massachusetts, who invited the sessions to the capital city of the state. A conference of New England societies will soon be held to form a Reception Committee, to be composed of leading Jewish citizens, and special honors will be tendered to Mr. Zangwill on his arrival in Boston, in which city he lectured and made many friends years ago.
