The French section of the World Jewish Congress, in a series of resolutions adopted today, condemned the anti-Semitic propaganda campaign now being conducted in the controlled press of the Soviet Union. The group also expressed alarm over the resurgence of Nazism, particularly the recent electoral success of the neo-Nazi National Democratic Party (NDP) in West Germany.
The Congress also called attention to the plight of Jews in Arab countries, many of whom have been imprisoned, and urged the French Government and international agencies to take measures for their liberation. The Congress also asked the French Government to live up to its commitments to Israel and affirmed, in a resolution on the Middle East, the “total solidarity of the World Jewish Congress with Israel.”
