Contrary to previous reports in the Nazi press that all Jews in Holland had already been deported or imprisoned, information reaching here today discloses that the process of making Holland “judenrein” has not yet been completed. Mass-deportations of Jews from Amsterdam have taken place, but the Jewish Council in Amsterdam is still functioning though its offices have been removed to new quarters.
The German radio today reported that Nazi authorities in Macedonia have established a special office to administer the property confiscated from Jews or abandoned by deported Jews. The Nazi Governor in Macedonia has announced that all Jewish dwellings are considered the property of the occupation authorities, and will be used to house German refugees and war victims as well as state employees.
