A quota of $2,000,000 worth of gifts of clothing, medical and household supplies, to be sent to the sections of Russia which have predominantly Jewish populations, was adopted yesterday at the third annual meeting of the Jewish Council for Russian War Relief. Senator James E. Murrey of Montana told the delegates that prompt action by the newly created War Refugee Board will save the lives of thousands of persons in occupied Europe.
