Five prizes, $250 each, were presented last night by the Congress for Jewish Culture for the best works in Yiddish literature in 1957. The winners were A. Almi, M. Shelubski and B. Alkvit of New York; Arieh Shomri of Israel; and J. Rapoport of Australia. A $250 prize was also presented to the Committee for Yiddish in New York High Schools, of which S. Dingol is president.
