Two Jews wounded in current disorders died in hospitals here today, raising to 14 the number of Jewish deaths since Aug. 1. Haim Goldenberg, 36-year-old quarry worker shot by Arab snipers yesterday, died in Hadassah Hospital. Jacob Rass, 35, who was stoned and shot near the Damascus Gate on July 26, succumbed to his wounds in Government Hospital, where he was being detained on Arab accusations in connection with an Old City bombing on the same day.
Snipers wounded a Jew named Abraham Ashkenazi, 27, on the Jaffa-Tel Aviv border. He is in a serious condition. The authorities imposed a collective fine of $1,250 on Keren Hateimonim, Jewish quarter in the Jaffa boundary area, in connection with disorders there.
