Nine Jewish deputies, representing various Jewish communities in East European countries, will participate in the national Minorities Congress which will open here this week.
All members of the Jewish delegation fare arrived here, and met yesterday it a conference to consider the questions which will be taken up at the Congress. Dr. Leo Motzkin, executive secretary of the Committee of Jewish Delegations, presided at the conference.
The Bureau of the National Minorities Congress requested three of the Jewish delegates to submit reports to the Congress. Dr. Nurok of Riga was requested to present a paper on the question of state citizenship rights, Deputy Robinson of Kovno on the question of cultural autonomy and Dr. Margulies of Prague, Czechoslovakia, on “How to regulate conflicts between governments and minorities.”
Fourteen delegates will present papers to the Congress on various aspects of the national minorities problem in Eastern Europe.
