Dr. Boris Lipschitz, Swiss-born Jewish diplomat, has been appointed head of the permanent delegation of the Republic of San Marino at the European headquarters of the United Nations, it was announced today.
Dr. Lipschitz, who is 76, was Consul of Nicaragua in Switzerland for 20 years, has lately been Minister Plenipotentiary of San Marino in Berne. The Republic of San Marino, which claims to be the oldest state in Europe, tracing its history back to the fourth century, covers 36 square miles and has a population of 12,100.
