Captain Ernst von Roehm, commander-in-chief of the Nazi storm troops and Minister without portfolio, who addressed a meeting of foreign diplomats and foreign newspapermen, in his speech said that the destruction of “Un-German literature,” numerus clausus against the Jews, and the “emigration of inferior elements” were all natural corollaries of the Nazi revolution.
He declared that it was “astonishing” to see with what indulgence the Nazis had treated their adversaries as compared with other revolutionists.
