Discovery of a new method of bridging blind spots through optics will restore vision to about half of the estimated 150, 000 partially blind persons in the United States, it was announced tonight by Dr. William Feinbloom, optometrical consultant in the rehabilitation of the blind to the New York State Department of Welfare.
An outstanding authority on subnormal vision, Dr. Feinbloom reported that his new method mobilizes the remaining, enlarged seeing areas of a diseased or defective eye into a single, unified image by bridging the blind spots.
