Leslie B. Prince, London member of the Council of the Jewish Colonization Association, has arrived here to select a number of families from Foehrenwald, the last Jewish DP camp on German soil, for resettlement in Australia.
Mr. Prince is undertaking this mission at his own expense, but in cooperation with United HIAS Service. He visited Foehrenwald two years ago, then made a survey of conditions in Sydney and Melbourne at his own initiative and, together with representatives of the Australian Jewish Welfare Society, prevailed upon the Commonwealth immigration authorities in Canberra to issue several dozen visas to Foehrenwald residents. All are now settled in Australia and Mr. Prince is attempting to repeat his performance.
