The proposal of the London Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations to convoke a Jewish Economic World Conference provoked a heated debate at the last meeting of the Warsaw Jewish Community, and finally the matter was adjourned till the next meeting.

The Agudist members of the Board spoke in favor of participation, but the Zionist members opposed it, on the ground that there is to be a Jewish World Congress in 1934, which will also consider the economic affairs of world Jewry.
