A dinner in honor of the delegates to the Fifth Annual Convention of the National Council for Jewish Education will be given by the Jewish Education Association of New York, according to an announcement made last week by Bernard Semel, Honorary Secretary of the Association. The dinner will take place Tuesday evening, June 24, at the Hotel Commodore, and Israel Unterberg, president of the Jewish Education Association, has issued invitations to the members of its Executive Committee as well as to Jewish leaders, Jewish educators, and laymen active in the field of Jewish education.
The dinner at the Biltmore will be one of the events in a series of sessions of the convention some of which will be held in New York, and others in the camp of the Central Jewish Institute at Port Jervis, N. Y. The opening session will be held June 21 and the closing session on June 24.
The membership of the National Council for Jewish Education includes the outstanding professional Jewish educators of America. The purpose of the Council is to provide a forum for the interpretation of Jewish educational theory, and the discussion of the practical problems of Jewish education with a view to stimulating Jewish educational progress in America.
