An appeal that Israel studies be made “an integral part of the curriculum at all levels of Jewish education in the United Slates” was made today by Dr. Abraham P. Gannes in his presidential address at the opening of a four-day 42nd annual conference of the National Council of Jewish educators here attended by more than 200 Jewish educators in Hebrew and Jewish studies.
Dr. Gannes said he hoped the convention would result in development of “a broad program of action and activities for introduction of Israeli studies into American religious schools.”
