Communal education should take precedence over congregational, and traditional subjects should get a greater place in the curriculum, Dr. Samuel Blumenfteld, member of the Board of Jewish Education of Chicago, told 150 Jewish educators attending the 25th anniversary convention of the National Council for Jewish Education.
Some 400 leading men and women of the Cleveland Jewish Community attended a special dinner tendered by the Bureau of Jewish Education in honor of the delegates to the convention, which is discussing various aspects of Jewish education in the U.S.
