Morris Goodkind, Jewish bridge engineer of the New Jersey Highway Commission, was among the five members of the American Society of Civil Engineers who received medals this week at the convention of the Society. Mr. Goodkind, who now lives in New Brunswick, New Jersey, received the Peck Hobson Fowler Medal for his design of the Raritan River Bridge.
Mr. Goodkind was born on the East Side of New York and is a member of a Jewish temple. He has received several prices and medals for bridge engineering and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize by Columbia in 1908.
