Section Officer Rose J. Goodman, a Jewish girl from Nova Scotia, is the first war casualty in the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force. She was killed in a plane crash in western Canada while on a flight to a training station. She was well known in musical circles and was prominent in student activities at Balhousie University, Halifax. She joined the Air Force after graduation.
