Several graves in the Jewish section of the Fawkner cemetery, in Melbourne, have been desecrated and badly damaged, it was reported here today. The vandalism was described as typical of action that had once been prevalent in Europe, but previously unknown in Australia. It was indicated that the action might have been directed from a nearby immigrants camp.
