Jewish groups are now buying land in Syria and Lebanon through non-Jewish agents, the London Times reports in a cable from its Syrian correspondent.
The correspondent intimates that the Premier of Lebanon is not pleased with this development. “The Premier may have had this development in mind when he declared in the Chamber of Deputies that Lebanon does not want to become a focus of colonization, nor do the neighboring people wish to see Lebanon become a gateway to colonization elsewhere,” the Times writer says.
