Jewish groups are criticizing the decision to appoint a Council on American Islamic Relations official to New York’s Human Rights Commission. The American Jewish Committee, Simon Wiesenthal Center, Zionist Organization of America, Anti-Defamation League and Jewish Community Relations Council of New York all questioned the appointment of Omar Mohammedi, who is general counsel to CAIR’s New York chapter.
