Jewish groups joined the NAACP in seeking to uphold the federal convictions of two black men in the 1991 killing of a yeshiva student in Brooklyn, according to the New York Jewish Week. The brief filed last week in the case claims that a 1968 civil rights law gives the government jurisdiction in prosecuting Lemrick Nelson Jr. and Charles Price, who were sentenced to 19 <<years and 21 years, respectively, for their roles in the death of Yankel Rosenbaum.
