The fourth annual observance of Jewish History Week began today throughout the country. Sponsored by the Community Education Service on American Jewish History, the “Week” will be noted by Jewish community centers, synagogues, local branches of national Jewish organizations, lodges, and other Jewish groups. Also taking note of Jewish History Week will be public libraries and the libraries of schools from the elementary to the university level. The Community Education Service is a joint project of the American Jewish Historical Society and the National Jewish Welfare Board.
