Jewish Immigrants Seen As Unemployment Cause Among Holy Land Arabs

According to Government estimates, there were 18,000 unemployed Arabs, including 500 women, at the end of September, and 17,000 unemployed, with 600 women, at the end of October. says Davar.

It should be noted that the Government includes the seasonal jobless, Arabs who are not working on their holdings because of the seasonal agricultural cycle at the time of count.

Arab unemployment figures fell during months of increased Jewish immigration and before the tourist hunt commenced, the paper says.

Government figures show that at the end of September there were 350 Jews and 650 Jewesses unemployed, while at the end of October the figure was 400 Jews and 600 Jewesses.
