The opening exercises of the twelfth year of the Jewish Institute of Religion will be held Monday evening in the institute’s chapel. Following the practice of dealing with some major problem in the work of the rabbi, the program of the exercises will deal this year with the subject of Jewish education and the work of the rabbi as educator. Dr. Alexander Dushkin, executive director of the Chicago Board of Jewish Education, has been invited by the Institute to present his views. He will be introduced by Judge Julian W. Mack, chairman of the board of trustees. Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the Institute, will outline the program of the Institute for the year and Dr. Harry S. Lews, chaplain will conduct the evening service to be held in connection with the exercises.
