Buildings accommodating Jewish institutions and societies were among those hit in German air raids on Belgrade, The Jewish Chronicle reported today. Many Jews, including women and children, were killed in basement shelters. The Beth Israel Synagogue of the Belgrade Sephardic congregation was badly damaged.
