Jewish, Islamic and Christian leaders meeting in Egypt pledged to help end violence and promote the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. The call was issued at the end of a meeting in Alexandria in which participants declared that the killing of innocent people is a desecration of God’s name and defamation of religion.
