Following the challenge of the Counsel for the Defence against the “Jewish” jurymen in the trial against Count Belldorf, the Berlin Commandant of the Hitlerist storm troops and the other prisoners accused of organising the anti-Jewish excesses in Berlin on Rosh Hashanah, one of the jurymen, Lothar Schmidt, told the court to-day that he is a Jew, and therefore not impartial, and asked to be released from service.

The case has again been adjourned till Monday, for the purpose of reconstituting the jury.
