The Jewish Labor Committee announced today that it has received a grant of $100,000 from the Pincus and Rose Karl Fund to be used for the advancement of Jewish culture and the ideals of brotherhood, freedom and democracy.
Pincus Karl, noted Los Angeles industrialist and philanthropist, has set up the $100,000 Fund together with the members of his immediate family-his wife, son and daughter. In making the $100,000 Fund available, Mr. Karl said that it is his hope that the allotment may be increased and that others will follow his example and make their contributions to the Jewish Labor Committee’s program of Jewish cultural work and human rights. Karl emigrated to this country 50 years ago from Lodz, Poland.
