The Australasian Council of Trade Unions, central body of the Australian labor movement, was asked today by the Jewish Labor Committee here to call on labor unions in Australia to exert all their influence to convince the Australian Government of the importance of admitting European Jews to Australia.

The cabled message by the Jewish Labor Committee, signed by Adolph Held, its president, was sent in connection with a resolution adopted by the Australasian Trade Union Federation supporting the plan to establish a Jewish settlement in the Kimberley district of Australia despite the fact that this project is meeting with opposition from the Australian Government.
