The Jewish Labor Committee, headed by B. C. Vladeck, has summoned a conference of shop chairmen and executive members of the International Ladies Garment Workers’ Union, the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, and all unions affiliated with the United Hebrew Trades, as well as the representatives of Jewish fraternal labor organizations, in Town Hall tonight.
Over 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the parley, which is to consider making the boycott more effective and also halting Nazi propaganda in this country. Plans will be worked out for the organized labor movement to aid stricken Jews and workers in Germany, Austria and Poland.
Speakers will include, in addition to Mr. Vladeck, William B. Mahoney, American Federation of Labor; D. Dubinsky, I.L.GW.U.; J. Schlossberg, A.C.W.A.; M. Feinstone, United Hebrew Trades; J. Weinberg, Workmen’s Circle, and N. Chanin, Jewish Socialist Verband.
