The American Jewish Trade Union Committee for Palestine, representing several hundred thousand organized Jewish workers, both A.F.L. and C.I.O., today demanded the immediate abrogation of the White Paper which bars further Jewish immigration into Palestine, and called for the reconstitution of that country as a free and democratic Jewish Commonwealth. In a declaration unanimously adopted at a meeting of its members, the Committee also urged passage by Congress “at the earliest opportunity” of the pending Palestine resolutions.
