A group of American, British and French Jewish leaders, headed by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, arrived here today to start discussions with the Austrian Government on Jewish claims against Austria for damages suffered during the Nazi regime.
Preliminary talks will be started tomorrow when the delegation will meet with Chancellor Julius Raab. Dr. Goldmann intends to fly Thursday from here to Bonn to confer there with West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer on legislation for compensation to individual Jews which, he believes, may amount to 1,000,000,000 dollars. From Bonn he will proceed to Israel.
