A distinguished audience of top Jewish leaders and representatives of all major Jewish organizations attended a memorial gathering last night for Dr. Giora Josephtal, Israel’s late Minister of Development and Housing, who died this summer in Switzerland while recuperating from a heart attack. The memorial meeting, which was held at the premises of the Jewish Agency here, was arranged by the Israel Mission in the United States and the Jewish Agency.
Dr. Josephtal was eulogized by Israel Foreign Minister Golda Meir; Mrs. Rose Halprin, chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency executive; and Rabbi Herbert Freedman, executive vice-president of the United Jewish Appeal. Rabbi Mordechai Kirshblum, president of the Religious Zionists of America and member of the Jewish Agency executive, delivered a memorial prayer.
