Jewish Leaders in Brazil Regret Departure of Former U.S. Ambassador Berle

Expressions of gratitude for the great interest he has shown in the welfare of the Jews of Brazil and regret at his leaving the country were addressed to former U.S. Ambassador Adolph Berle by a delegation of leaders of the Jewish community, just prior to his departure for the United States. The group included Educate Horowitz, William Salig, Samuel Mahmud and Nathan Jaffa, Mr. Berle resigned last month.
