Plans toward reconstruction of the towns and villages which suffered damage as a result of the Arab outbreak are going forward. The Zionist Executive here is constituting an advisory committee for the reconstruction work. The committee is to be composed of one representative each of the National Council of Palestine Jews, the Labor Federation, the merchants’ association, the Anglo-Palestine Company, which will be represented by A. E. Hoofien, the farmers by Moses Smilansky, the Loan Bank by Mr. Mohl.
A committee under the chairmanship of Rabbi Meyer Berlin, president of the Mizrachi Organization, and a member of the Zionist Executive, is in charge of relief. Mr. Braude, chief accountant of the Executive, is honorary treasurer of the committee.
The entire relief work is being carried on under the supervision of the Zionist Executive acting as the Jewish Agency. Col. Frederick H. Kisch is in charge of political matters and J. Sprinzak of public information. Gerson Agronsky has been acting as director of information during the emergency period.
