Jewish leaders sent a letter to President Bush assuring him of their “steadfast support” in the fight against global terrorism. “We applaud your efforts to give many countries from the Middle East an opportunity for a new beginning by joining us in this campaign,” said the letter, signed by nearly 70 leaders. Organized by the Israel Policy Forum, the letter follows some criticism of the Bush administration from Jewish groups.
