Sen. Abraham Ribicoff, Connecticut Democrat, today inserted into the Congressional Record a statement congratulating the “Jewish Ledger” of Hartford, Conn., on its 40th anniversary. The Senator described the “valuable contributions” of the weekly newspaper since its founding by Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman and the late Samuel Neusner. He paid special tribute to its present owners and co-publishers, Berthold Gaster and Mrs. Shirley Bunis.
