A bill to forbid the wearing of uniforms by any and all political parties in the states of Brazil on the ground that such uniforms are conducive to immorality was introduced today in the Constituent Assembly. The bill’s sponsors, Deputies Armando Laydner, John Vitaca, Waldemarre Ikdal and Vasco Toledo, declared that the project was motivated by the official declaration on the part of the German government concerning immoral practices among the storm troopers in that country.
The youth of Brazil must be protected from any such danger of corruption, the deputies declared in introducing the bill.
At the same time, anti-Fascist groups have distributed circulars calling upon the women of Brazil to keep their children from all such contacts so that the example set by Germany may not find its way into the life of the Brazilian nation.
