An enthusiastic letter of endorsement of the $3,000,000 coordinated drive for relief for German Jewish refugees was sent yesterday by the second conference of officiayls of Jewish fraternal orders to Louis Lipsky and Morris Rothenberg of the American Palestine Campaign of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, and to Paul Baerwald and Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
Pledging whole-hearted support toward the campaign, which has the co-operation of High Commissioner James G. McDonald, the officials of the following orders united in approving the joint effort: Independent Order Brith Abraham, B’nai B’rith, Brith Sholom, Free Sons of Israel, Order Sons of Zion, and the Zionist Organization of America.
The conference was held at the New York clubhouse of the B’nai B’rith. Theodore Badman, Alexander Bernardik, Harold S. Budner, Louis Fabricant, Morris I. Goldman, Simon M. Goldsmith, Jacob I. Kaplan, Joseph Kramer, William M. Lewis, Louis Levine, Morris Rosoff, Dr. Jacob Sonderling and George O. Arkin signed the statement.
