Jewish mass immigration into Palestine is an urgent necessity of the moment. Without this, the creation of a Jewish majority in the country is an impossibility, declared Abraham Goldberg, member of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America, in an article published today in the “Wiener Morgen Zeitung”.
Mr. Goldberg reproaches the Zionist leaders, stating in his article that the Zionist movement has not endeavored to meet the present emergency of East European Jewry.
“Zionism must bring the solution of the Jewish emigration question. Palestine must be turned into a center for Jewish immigration. No obstacles should be placed in the way of Jewish immigrants. No selective system should be introduced. All who are in need of a refuge should be admitted to Palestine. Zionism must return to the idea of a Jewish state which is the lifeblood of the Zionist movement. A Jewish majority in Palestine must be created within the shortest possible time. Action on a larger scale has to be undertaken with the League of Nations”, Mr. Goldberg states in his article.
