Jewish Members of Polish Parliament to Visit U.S. in April

A delegation of Jewish members of the Polish Parliament will visit the United States early in April to acquaint the public with the situation of the Polish Jews, it was announced tonight at a dinner of the American Committee Appeal for the Jews in Poland at the Hotel Astor. The delegation will include Senator Isaac Rubinstein and Deputy Emil Sommerstein.

More than 600 persons attended the dinner and it was stated that over $12,000 had been netted. It was announced at the dinner that $6,500 had been received from Toronto as the first part of the drive in Canada for the Polish Jews.

The dinner was a testimonial to Arthur E. Littman by the committee’s dress industry division, which has taken a $20,000 quota in the $1,000,000 campaign. The speakers’ list included Mr. Littman, L.C. Rosenblatt, the toastmaster, former Judge Jonah Goldstein, Benjamin Winter, David Dubinsky, Rabbi Louis I. Newman, Abraham Goldberg and Zelig Tygel.
