A monument erected to the memory of a well known Jewish resistance hero, Jens Albert Ibsen, was damaged last night by unknown vandals. The monument, erected in the town of Slagelse, was found covered with a special plastic paint difficult to clean off. This is the second case in recent weeks of a resurgence of neo-Nazi anti-Semitic activities. A few weeks ago in the city park of Esbjerg. swastikas were painted on the fifty memorial tablets which mark Jewish sufferings. It is generally believed here that the two incidents were carried out by neo-Nazi elements in “retaliation” for the sabotage of the Nazi memorial park in Jutland.
