The Commerce Ministry has cancelled more than 80 per cent of licenses of Jewish merchants and artisans in the annexed Upper Hungarian region and has given warning that the shops will be closed down on July 1. At the same time the Justice Ministry has rejected 75 per cent of the applications of Jewish lawyers in Upper Hungary for admission to the Bar Association, permitting them to continue practicing until Oct. 31.
