The largest bequest ever made to the Jewish National Fund anywhere in the world was disclosed by its offices here. The bequest, representing the bulk of the estate of the late Isidor Michaeleon, and totalling more than 100,000 pounds ($280,000), was originally left to his widow, who died last year.
Mr. Michaelson made a fortune as a pioneer in Rhodesia in the last century and retired to Wales in 1904, where he died in 1931, at that time owning large mining and other properties. For a number of years before his death, he made substantial donations to Zionist organization.
