The Jewish National Fund now owns 750,000 dunams (a dunam is approximately one-fourth of an acre) of land in Palestine, it was revealed here at a 43rd anniversary exhibit arranged by the JNF. There are 185 settlements on JNF land. Since its inception, the orgarization has collected ten million pounds.
Addressing the opening of the exhibition, Dr. Abraham Granovsky, JNF director, said that there is room in Palestine for millions of working Jews who can build homes without injuring in any way the economic interests of the rest of the population. in a message of greetings, Dr. Chaim Weizmann urged maximum effort to secure as much land as possible, despite the present land restrictions.
