Dr. Israel Goldstein, world chairman of the Keren Haye-sod and member of the Jewish Agency for Israel, was honored today during his visit from Israel, where he now makes his home, by the board of directors of the Jewish National Fund at a special convocation.
Maurice Levin, JNF treasurer, presented the JNF Award of Merit to Dr. Goldstein in recognition of his decade of leadership of the JNF. Albert Schiff, JNF president, lauded Dr. Goldstein’s contributions. Mrs. Clara Leff, Pioneer Women president, presented Dr. Goldstein with a JNF certificate designating the planting of a forest in Israel in honor of Dr. Goldstein and his wife, a past president of Pioneer Women, for their distinguished careers in the Zionist movement.
