The sum of $300,000 was sent to Palestine last week by the Jewish National Fund of America for acquisition of land there, it was announced today by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president.
In announcing the latest remittance, Dr. Goldstein stated that a total of $2,940,601.73 has been sent by the Jewish National Fund to the Fund’s headquarters in Jerusalem during the first nine months of the current fiscal year which began on October 1, 1942. Included in the remittance is the amount of $1,400,000 which is part of the proceeds of a $2,500,000 loan floated by the Fund by means of a ten year 4% Note Issue for which the Chase National Bank of New York is acting as Registrar and Paying Agent.
