Jewish Newspaperman Arrested in Moscow

Leonid Frankel, a Russian Jewish journalist who left Russia five years ago, was arrested and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment on his return to Moscow. His property was also ordered confiscated.

While living in Riga, Frankel worked as a reporter on the staff of the Russian paper, “Poniedelnik.”
