Because the director has forbidden them to leave the hospital for visits when free and also declined to permit them to receive visitors, the 14 nurses of the Shaare Zedek hospital here, which is supported by the Jewish community of Frankfort, went on strike. The dispute between the nurses and Director Wallach has been brewing for some time and the strike is the result of the director’s disregarding the intervention of Jewish physicians and the workers’ council.
