Permission to establish a German Opera and Theater where the actors, singers, musicians and theatrical staff will be exclusively Jewish was granted yesterday by the government under the condition that non-Jews will not be admitted to the audience to watch the performances. The staff will embrace all the best-known artists ousted from German opera companies recently because they were Jews.

The establishment of the new company will be aided by the Central Jewish Relief Fund. The theater will be under the directorship of Kurt Singer, former director of the Berlin Municipal Theaters, and the opera will be managed by Josef Rosenstock, former director of the Mannheim Theater and for five years with the New York Metropolitan Opera Company.

The German Opera Theater will function daily and will be permitted to issue its own theatrical publication, the authorities announced.
